Once submitted to the College, a criminal record check report remains valid for five years in the College's registration system. If you already have a valid check on file, you do not need to obtain a new one.

To request your check, you must visit the police service or authorized provider that serves your home address, and:

  • Provide two pieces of valid government-issued identification. Neither ID can be expired, and at least one must include a photo. Your current address must appear on at least one piece of ID. Photocopies are preferred, but you will not be turned away if you do not have them.
  • Bring the filled-out and printed form letter dated within the previous two weeks.

The date on the criminal record check report must be no more than three months before the date of registration or renewal, whether you are a new applicant submitting the check report for the first time or a registrant renewing the expired check report.
